Check your partner's history for abuse

The domestic abuse disclosure scheme (or "Clare's Law") allows you to find out if someone you're in a relationship with has a history of abusive behaviour towards previous partners.

You can make an application under the scheme by:

  • telephone - contact the Police on 101 and speak with a call taker
  • speaking to a member of staff at any Police station
  • speaking to a Police Officer on the street
  • completing the form on the Norfolk Police website

Find out more about Clare's Law and making your application on the Norfolk Constabulary website (scroll down to Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme "Clare’s Law").

You can download a leaflet on the Domestic Violence Discloure Scheme.
