A local Council is urging runners to sign up now for their popular EAMA 10k road race on Sunday 19 November.

This is the 4th year that South Norfolk Council is hosting the event which will see hundreds of runners come together at the starting line in Wymondham.

Cabinet Member, Cllr Kim Carsok, said:

“Over the years this race has become a firm favourite, with runners coming from all over the county to take part. But you don’t have to be a seasoned athlete to join in, the race is open to all ages and abilities and there’s always a fantastic supportive atmosphere. So whether it’s your first 10k, or if you’re looking to beat your personal best, then don’t miss out, sign up today!”

The run, which starts in Lady’s Lane in Wymondham, winds its way on flat, open roads, through the countryside between the beautiful market town and the hamlet of Morley.

For runners lucky enough to be running the 2024 London Marathon, the EAMA 10K offers the perfect opportunity to test their pace and create a training plan ready for the big day.

Friendly marshals and spectators will line the route, so runners are supported all the way round. The top 3 male and female athletes will receive trophies, as well as the winners of each age group up to 70 years.

East Anglian Motor Auctions continue to sponsor the race. EAMA are a local family run business that span 3 generations and can be found on Copper Smith Way, Wymondham, NR18 0WY.

To find out more and book a place, please visit South Norfolk Council’s website or search for ‘EAMA10k’. Affiliated places are £17, non-affiliated are £19 and on completion of the run, competitors will receive a finisher vest and medal.
