South Norfolk: Budget consultation – have your say

Council Tax Survey

Residents and businesses are being invited to get involved and share their priorities for the next 12 months in the South Norfolk Council budget consultation.

The consultation is key in shaping spending plans for the year ahead.

The Council has an expenditure budget of approximately £48-million a year to provide a wide range of services including housing, benefits administration, homelessness prevention, refuse collection, street cleansing, early help, leisure, planning and many more.

South Norfolk Council portfolio holder for Finance and Resources, Cllr Adrian Dearnley said

‘With ongoing challenges from Covid-19, government funding and increased demands for some services - feedback from residents is more important than ever. We are elected to represent the view of our residents and establish which services they consider are priorities for spending, in order that it is reflected in next year’s budget.

This consultation is a great opportunity for our residents and businesses to contribute to the discussions and I would encourage all South Norfolk residents to spare a few minutes to complete the survey, so that we are best able to meet their needs in the challenging year ahead.’

The consultation runs until 14 January 2022 and can be found at: www.southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk/council
