Loddon and Chedgrave Neighbourhood Plan
South Norfolk Council and the Broads Authority have designated a Neighbourhood Area that covers the civil parishes of Loddon and Chedgrave, for the purposes of developing a joint Neighbourhood Plan. This follows an application made by Loddon Town Council, on behalf of both Loddon and Chedgrave Town/Parish Councils, as the designated Qualifying Body for preparing the plan. This designation was made in February 2022, in accordance with Regulation 5A of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).
Since that time, a steering group of volunteers, working on behalf of the Town Council and the Parish Council has been developing a proposed Neighbourhood Plan for the parish, which has involved extensive evidence gathering and consultation with the community and other stakeholder bodies.

Loddon Town Council submitted the Loddon & Chedgrave (Chet) Neighbourhood Plan and other required documents to South Norfolk Council & The Broads Authority. The submitted documents have been checked by the local planning authority against the relevant criteria in Schedule 4B of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 and were approved for publication.
In accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations, 2012 (as amended), there followed a period of consultation on the Neighbourhood Plan. A summary of the representations received during the consultation can be viewed in the documents section, below.
The next stage is for the Neighbourhood Plan to undergo an independent examination. Mr Derek Stebbing has been appointed to undertake the work and any formal correspondence relating to the examination will be published in the documents section, below.
