Tree wardens

Tree Wardens are a national force of local volunteer tree champions and a key part of The Tree Council’s Community Action Programme. The Tree Council launched the Tree Warden Scheme in 1990 and co-ordinates the Scheme nationally. It works with local authorities, voluntary organisations, parish and town councils and local partnerships to set up and develop Tree Warden networks in town, city and countryside.

There are active Tree Warden networks in both Broadland and South Norfolk districts.

If you want more information about tree wardens then contact the Tree Council or alternatively the local Network Co-ordinators, John Fleetwood for Broadland or Henry Gowman for South Norfolk, via the Tree Council website.
