Think like a journalist to promote your business
It’s never been more important to get your message out there, but how do you cut through the noise and tell your story so that people will listen and act?
The tutor for this new workshop is Shaun Lowthorpe. Shaun is a former EDP business editor with 16 years’ experience in regional journalism. In 2016 he set up Content Connective specialising in business journalism, content marketing and communications.
Course details
This half day course shows you how to use journalistic techniques to tell your story and reach your customers and prospective clients, whether it’s through your website, social media, and of course the press.
We’ll help you decide the basic building blocks of your story to determine what to write and when. We’ll also look at what channels you should be using, how to use simple SEO techniques to come up with story ideas, and how to pitch a press release to the local media.
By the end of the session you will be able to set out what you want to say, how you should say it, and who you should say it to.
