Love Local, Spend Local
Campaign to support our high streets
For 2022 we continue to support independent businesses on our high streets and across Broadland and South Norfolk with this new campaign, Love Local, Spend Local, which will include:
- chances to win a £50 voucher with your favourite independent business
- inspiration on great products and where you can buy them
Just a small change can make a big difference. If every adult in our districts spent an extra £5 a month in local shops that would add £1million to our economy every month*, supporting and protecting local jobs and businesses. It’s an easy way to support your favourite local shops, by making a conscious decision to spend a little bit extra locally. Therefore, please join us in helping our local shops and high streets thrive, so we can continue to enjoy great products, services and shopping experiences, all close to home.
South Norfolk Councillor Lisa Neal said: “Our local business have had a really tough time over the last two years and it’s important that we all do what we can to help. Just making a small change to your spending habits can make a huge difference.”
Broadland District Councillor Jo Copplestone said: “We are proud of the independent shops that we have and the quality and choice they offer our residents. We are not asking you to spend more money, we are just asking that you support our local shops and businesses.”
We welcome the support of local businesses in this campaign too, so please join in by sharing the Love Local Spend Local campaign posts when you see them!
Win a £50 voucher to spend in your favourite local shop! There will be there be further Prize Draw opportunities this year, so look out for the next one due to open in April 2022 and close in May 2022.
